The curved shape works perfectly for small group work—kids can actually see each other and stay engaged instead of staring at the back of someone's head. We use them for daily reading circles and the space between pairs fits just right in our classroom.

Set two of these up back-to-back in our meeting corner and suddenly everyone’s facing each other instead of staring at a wall. The curved edge gives each person a clear view of the speaker, which made our team discussions noticeably more engaged.

I was skeptical about the curved design taking up more floor space, but the flat back fits flush against the wall and frees up the middle of the room completely. My students naturally lean in toward each other during group work now, and the surface is the perfect width for two laptops side by side.
