Category: Infant Shelf
The Montessori Method encourages accessibility and freedom for children. These shelves are beautifully designed to invite children to choose among the materials you present for their learning and play.
Infants can use the shelf as a support to pull themselves to a standing position and guide them while walking. They can also access appropriate toys within their reach.
My toddler can actually reach everything on the lowest shelf now, and the low height makes it so easy for her to grab her own books and toys. The wood feels sturdy but light enough for me to move between rooms without any trouble.
The low, open design is perfect for my toddler—she can see every toy at eye level and grab things herself without any help. The birch surface feels smooth and sturdy, and it fits flush against the wall so there's no wobble when she pulls up on it.
My 14-month-old can actually reach every toy on her own now, and the birch wood feels sturdy enough to last through her toddler years. The open design really does invite her to pick what she wants to play with, which has made our morning routine so much smoother.
